Simon Goodfellow Workshops
As part of our features on our authors and speakers, we're doing a feature on Simon Goodfellow today.
Many of you know Simon from his platform work and his private sessions. He has been working as a professional medium now for the last fourteen years. He is always in high demand at every event he goes to, due to his natural presence that just makes people feel very at ease, even when they are new to this type of experience.
Everyone has the potential for psychic ability. We've all had experiences that would suggest this, some more than others. Whether we decide to pursue this or not is a very individual decision. If we do decide to pursue it, it's very difficult to know where to start.
Simon offers workshops that breaks down this spiritual process into different levels. You can then take this training as far as you like. Once you finish the levels there is even an opportunity to do some work with Simon. The workshops are broken down into three main sections:
The Mechanics of Mediumship & Psychic Skill of Psychometry
This is where your Spiritual & Psychic journey would begin, on The Mechanics of Mediumship workshop you will be taught:
How to clear, still & focus your mind
How to protect yourselves
The difference between all types of Mediumship
And finally the Psychic Skill of Psychometry.
The Advanced Mediumship Level 1; The Advancement of Mediumship
and basic knowledge of Tarot & one to one readings.
This level is for people who already have some experience and wish to develop further.
Simon will give you your Spirit guide who is with you the help you develop.
You will learn how to bond and work with your. Spirit guide.
Simon will also teach you how to use the Tarot cards with you Spirit guide and how to conduct a one to one reading.
Learning to read the Tarot with your Spirit guide is completely different than learning meaning from a book, because everyone life's are very different so one card and one meaning would never relate to everybody.
The Advanced Mediumship level 2; The Masters of Mediumship & developing a higher level of understanding in working with the Major & Minor Arcana.
This workshop is for people who have completed the last two levels with Simon and wish to develop and work professional with Spirit.
Simon will teach you a greater knowledge of Spirit guides around you & their purpose.
You will also gain an increased trust and confidence when working with Spirit.
Many of Simons' past students are now working professionally. Whether you're thinking of a complete change of lifestyle and career or just want to enhance any natural talent you have, have a look at Simons' website for more information dates and venues.

Interview with Ros Coleman
Today we have a great interview with the wonderful Ros Coleman. Ros is a psychic and intuitive artist, who paints spirit guides and angels. She can also paint and tell you about your own past lives. On top of that she has started an online course to show you how to do the same. She can be found online at www.spiritguideartist.com
Many thanks to Ros for taking the time to answer our questions, we've loved reading them.
To start with could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Having been “sensitive” from birth I found my early years confusing. I am clairvoyant and a natural physical channel for Spirit but did not understand this until much later in life. Some of my childhood experiences include seeing, hearing and sensing “ghosts”; having clear “memories” of incidents in peoples’ lives that I could never have known; feeling I was “someone else” and speaking in voices that were not mine. An angel appeared in my bedroom once. It looked like a very soft, bright light and I felt safe and comforted. I found great peace in daydreaming, art, nature and in the company of animals, birds and insects and still do. Alongside my family and close friends these are my greatest loves.
I was an IT trainer for 20 years, which I loved because it helped people on my courses feel confident and empowered. Plus we had fun and I feel this is so important in a learning environment. In my 40’s I retrained as a life coach and stress management consultant, working with individuals and high profile companies. Becoming atuned to reiki in 2000 was pivotal spiritually as it reawakened the skills I had allowed to grow dormant over the years.
By 2004 I had met others in my spiritual “family” on Earth and with them, was trained by teachers in Spirit, during meditations, to use my intuitive skills through art. It was a magical time, full of love, kindness and laughter. I never forgot the beautiful angel from my childhood and I wanted to paint spirit guardians for other people. So this is what Spirit taught me, and what I came to do for others. Eventually I came to understand that I am a medium and not just “over imaginative”. It was reassuring finding other people who’d had similar experiences discovering the spiritual community felt like coming home.
After several years working in Mind Body and Spirit shows as a psychic artist, I accumulated a wealth of magical experience, knowledge and understanding. I now share this with others through workshops and my online course, The Art of Creative Consciousness. Combining my loves of art, nature and Spirit with my experience in developing and running training courses is so fulfilling and I feel truly blessed.
I see the training courses quite literally as spreading Light. The Art of Creative Consciousness attracts students who are spiritually aware and whose hearts beat with love for art, nature and Spirit. My wish, my intention for them is that their confidence unfolds and amplifies as they discover the creativity and beauty that naturally lies within. As our own light grows brighter, it illuminates and warms others around.
What can you tell us about your online course?
‘The Art of Creative Consciousness” is a comprehensive art course for people who wish to awaken or develop their creativity, and discover a deeper connection and understanding with Spirit through their art. The course is based online and has a wealth of multi-media material plus insights and guidance from experienced psychic artists to draw upon.
The course has 6 parts in sequence. Students may self-pace and take as much time as they need, or, for those who prefer to take the entire course in a set time, I run it over a period of 2 months with live weekly teleconferences in which all can attend and take part. The next course runs March through April 2014.
The first set course ran in July/August 2013. The course itself, the students and their results were phenomenal. They created beautiful paintings, full of energy and symbology; connected with angels, spirit people and nature spirits. Some had never painted before and others were more experienced. We all learned masses and had such fun. To read more about the course and see students’ painting and feedback, please visit my website http://spiritguideartist.com/e-course.html
Which writer/thinker has influenced you the most?
Without question, the writer/thinker I admire most and whose writings I pay most attention to is the Dalai Lama. I love books and my walls as lined with books on a variety of topics – channeled spiritual works, therapies, arts and crafts, pets and wildlife to more scientific material like anatomy, NLP and psychoneuroimmunology.
I like to pick out a spiritual book from time to time and as it falls open, something on the page seems to answer a question or deliver some understanding I’ve been seeking. Some I dip into and others, like the extraordinarily talented Psychic Artist Coral Polge’s “Living Images” I’ve read time and again.
Books I have recommended to others are Louise Hay’s “You Can Heal your Life” and “A Guide for the Advanced Soul” by Susan Hayward. The content of each is both enlightening and practical. They are easy to read and when the principles are applied, they work. When I think about it, this is the ethos on which my courses and books are based.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Laughing now. It’s more a comment really, made by my Dad after some scrape I got into as a small child. He said to me (in his own inimitable and down-to-Earth way) “If Rosalind fell into a cesspit she’d come out smelling of roses”. My life has been full of adventures, with my fair share of twists and turns and ups and downs and I’ve always emerged safely and wiser after the event. The belief his words instilled have seen me through the tough times and I remember them, and him, with love and gratitude.
Would you name 6 “Desert Island” books or films (ones you would like if you were stranded on a desert island - for young ones who don’t know about Desert Island discs!)
Films – Billy Elliot – a heartwarming story with a feelgood ending. I can’t count the number of times I’ve watched the ending on Youtube. Love it! And Jungle Book, which I’ve still not seen and children would love.
Books – something practical for surviving on a desert island, like the SAS Survival Handbook by John Lofty Williams. For a fascinating esoteric read - The Secret Life of Plants by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird. And for sheer inspiration Nelson Mandela’s Autobiography, The Road to Freedom.
Finally, a song. It’s totally in keeping with the desert island “Somewhere over the Rainbow” sung by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole. Enjoy the song here on Youtube.

Interview with a Clairvoyant - Charlotte
Another interview tonight, taking us closer to the event at Lincoln in November. Charlotte is one of the UK's leading clairvoyants and a regular at MBS show around the country. Considering she doesn't like to talk about herself, we'd like to say special thanks for answering our questions. Charlottes' website www.clairvoyantlondon.com is a great source of information on herself as well as psychic and spiritual development.
To start could you tell us a little bit about yourself.
I don't like to talk about myself much, but here's a bit of my most recent history :-)
I am a qualified mortgage and insurance broker with the letters CeMAP CeRGI after my name, I gave up my business to pursue the work that I now do, I am a Clairvoyant, Medium Palmist, Tarot reader, dowser, medical Intuitive and remote viewer, I see people during the week at my home in West London and at Weekends I attend events around the Uk giving readings and working on stage in front of audiences, recently at the Healing Weekend in front of 360 people and also at the Southwest MBS Event in Taunton Somerset 211 in the audience and private functions to audiences of around 150. I have also been on Sky Tv's Psychic & Soul/Psychic First as a Reader and Presenter right up to their last day of broadcasting and been interviewed on radio 5 Live.
Do you ever get people you can't "read" and how do you deal with that?
I don't have "bad days" but on very rare occasions (possibly once in 9 months) I feel drained by the person sitting in front of me, I don't find that there are people that I can't read but I do find that I can't always tell them what they want to hear. (will I get the promotion etc)
Why do you think there is such a high demand for spiritual guidance these days?
We are going through a time of un-rest, people are worried about their jobs, career and health, many people suffer from anxiety and need reassuring that they are on the right track, the UK is becoming more accepting of "the other side" and many are comforted by messages passed to them.
Which writer/thinker has influenced you the most?
It's difficult to say but I am intrigued and admire the great seers, healers and inventors that are part of our history like Nostradamus, Rasputin and Einstein.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Through life, we are given so much, it's hard to choose...the best statement was from my 5 year old son, my husband had just died, it was very sudden, we were devastated, my son said to me sensing the desperate situation, " Mummy we love you and we need you." that's all I needed. Those words were such a great help. Sometimes its not so much the advice, but the right words from the right person at the right time.

Interview with Simon Goodfellow
Today we have a great interview with Simon Goodfellow. A wonderful insight into how he got started and what influences him and his life. Many thanks to Simon for taking the time to answer our questions especially as he gets busier every year. Simon will be at many BSSK shows but his next one is at the Monastery this weekend. You can find him online at simongoodfellow.com
To start with could you tell us a bit about yourself (a quick intro, most people know you!)
Simon has been working professionally now for coming up to 14 years.
The Spiritual journey stated when Simon lived in Spain, at the time he was the owner of a very busy and successful bar.
But Simon felt very drawn to crystal healing.
Simon flew back to the UK and went on crystal healing course he sole intention was to work in hospitals and clinics.
However when Simon was healing people he would start to pick up messages for people.
After a while Simon stated to ask the people he was healing about the information he was picking up.
To his surprise the information was spot on.
This then lead Simon to have a reading, Simon was told he needed to develop is abilities.
This Simon did by attending the Arthur Finley college of Mediumship.
Soon after his return to Spain Simon started hosting small Mediumship evenings in his bar, these became very popular and Simon increased these to once a week.
Simon also started one to one readings for customers in the bar.
"The Spiritual work did take over the bar in Spain and because I was flying back to the UK 3 and 4 times a month it was time to leave Spain behind and return to the UK.
I still travel back to Spain to work as I have many clients over there."
You do a lot of different type of work, which do you find most rewarding - readings or developing other peoples skills?
Simon gets great satisfaction from all the aspects of his work but if he had to just pick one it would be developing other people's skills.
Simon does run three levels of Development workshops which are very popular.
What advice would you give to someone who has had some psychic experiences but is a bit scared of it?
The advise would be there is nothing to be scared of, Spirit want to work with you and to develop your abilities, but please don't confuse your self stick to one way of teaching.
There are many mediums and clairvoyants and we all work very differently.
When you want to start developing always go to the person you are drawn too, much like when you want to book a reading.
Do you have any plans to write a book?
Yes, a book is very much in the horizon but sadly this as not been done as yet.
Dave my partner set the wheels in motion and we will be getting the book done soon.
Which writer/thinker has influenced you the most.
I love many different books about a very diverse subject range, but I must admit I do love books by Doris Stokes she was an amazing lady.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given.
To develop my Mediumistic abilities. The satisfaction I get from bring closure to people is truly rewarding.
Would you name 6 “Desert Island” books or films (ones you would like if you were stranded on a desert island - for young ones who don’t know about Desert Island discs!)
Again my Cd collection combined with Dave's is truly diverse and sometimes a little camp and cheesy but I'm a very big follower of the Eurovision Song Contest.
When I first met Dave he made me a compilation CD for every Eurovision winner since the contest first started.
So the Cd's would be that one plus a little of Susan Boyle, Jane McDonald, Michael Buble.

Interview with Molly Ann Fairley
Newark was fantastic. A great show all round. We are now in the run up to the Monastery, Manchester on 5th and 6th of October.
Although we've had some great interviews so far, we have even more on the way leading up to the Monastery. Today we're featuring an interview with Molly Ann Fairley, who will be giving a talk on the sunday about the effects of past lives, karma and childhood programming on our lives. Molly Ann is the founder of The School of Psychic Studies and the psychic teachings available are now being taught around the world. We'd like to thank Molly Ann for taking the time to answer our questions, as always it's been an incredible read.
Molly Ann can be found online at www.theschoolofpsychicstudies.co.uk
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your work.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your work.
My name is Molly Ann Fairley and I have been working as a psychic, medium and healer for over 20 years. More recently I have been writing books and creating healing products.
People from all walks of life come to me for guidance and healing. Some work with me over the phone, others like personal contact and make the journey to my home. I have always been interested in others and feel truly blessed that I have been able to help so many. Many years ago I had a spontaneous ‘psychic opening’ after which I was able to perform psychic surgery and channel accurate information.
Each day I receive wonderful thanks and blessings from ladies who are happy with their readings - Ladies who tell me that the healings and the readings enable them to know how to bring about positive change.
Why do your think there is such a strong demand for spiritual and psychic work these days. Is humanity a little bit lost or are we evolving?
I do see that there is a greater demand for psychic and spiritual work than there would have been years ago. Because I am 66 I can scan back a long way into time so I have some experience to back up these observations.
I believe that many souls have now incarnated to help the planet lift its vibration. I have read that we have been going through the darkest era now. There is less kindness and consideration than when I was younger and I think we are living in a ‘me’ time when many people are only concerned about money and themselves. People need more help and they need to be able to overcome their fears. More is demanded of an individual. For example, old people need to make sure they have enough money to live on because their off spring may not be there for them. Younger people are getting overburdened with their parents living longer and suffering disease. People died younger years ago so with the new medical innovations we are having greater problems now.
I see many Asian ladies breaking out of their old conditions. Some of them are going through divorce. They need support as this would have been unheard of before and it is very frightening for them.
Karmically (I talk here of our destiny the karma we have come to overcome. It is said that we bring our past negative personality traits to rise above them) we are meeting up with more souls with whom we have unfinished business. This will put a strain on marriages that are breaking down because that person has to be able to move on and work out his or her karma out with others. Double or triple marriages are no uncommon any more. Children also need to work out their outstanding karma and may need to have one or more mothers or fathers to do this. This all leads to greater insecurity. The crime rate is up and the courts are not taking strong steps to quell it. This means that people are feeling unsafe with the mounting violence that is occurring. They need spiritual guidance. They need to be able to find themselves in their inner world and make themselves stronger to deal with these external changes. They need to know that there is a greater power than them and that they can tap into this power deeply within themselves. I have been shown that the purpose of all life is to find self-love a deep love for self within. Each of us would behave very differently if we could find this.
In England religion has broken down. The numbers attending church are lessening. The Catholic Church is also suffering from a backlash of the behaviour of their priests towards children. Other religions are fighting each other and so it goes on. It always helps to read history because I then get the measure of how it has always been this way.
Women need to become stronger to run their lives without fear and to influence our world. They come for psychic readings, healing and guidance to grow, overcome their karma and get stronger. I see this every day. It is a joy to watch. Only yesterday I saw a lady in an arranged marriage with a husband who is cheating on her go from someone who is scared to a woman determined to find work, learn the language and support her husband until his need to play away from home is healed.
Can you develop psychic ability on your own safely or do you need a guide?
Someone can develop psychically on their own and I have seen this happen to quite a number of people. I believe, however, it is safer and more fun to develop alongside others. The budding psychic will see how they are doing, learn to keep pace inside a group (which is how we learn at school) and realise how much they are helping another. They also have the advantage of seeing how an experienced teacher works and this will broaden their approach. When you give a reading, you place yourself in a position of responsibility. The more exposure and experience you get the better if you wish to become good at what you do.
Can you tell us more about your upcoming talk at Manchester?
I am going to give a short talk about the power of healing.
Because of the changing planetary energies the power of the healings is much greater than before. I like to make sure that those attending truly understand the extent to which they can use this new power to heal the issues in their lives. That way they will get the most value out of attending.
I will briefly talk about karma (the just return of all that goes out must come back – spiritual law) to enable people to understand why they have the issues that they do. I will also refer to their past lives and touch upon the types of lifetimes that can bring about issues into this one. I will very likely at this point ask someone if they would like me to channel information about one of their past lives so that everyone can see how it works. A lady yesterday who was at a talk of mine some months ago told me she saw angels in the room. She is not psychic and this had never happened to her before. She is delighted for she had been asking for proof and wants to develop psychically so that she can help others.
After my talk and when I know everyone has understood what I have been teaching, I will give a demonstration to get the ball rolling. When others have seen how it works I ask them to tell me what they wish to have healed. When people actually see something work it opens them up to experiencing the same for themselves. Spirit will descend at this point and many angels will be present. I am assisted by lots of unseen guides and masters. People can often feel the amazing energy of these guides and are usually very surprised at the power and the strength of the healing they receive. I always receive letters and emails afterwards thanking me for the day. It is very wonderful work.
Which writer/thinker has influenced you the most.
Many writers and thinkers have influenced me. I have recently written a chapter in a book called ‘The Light’ with Neale Donald Walsch who wrote conversations with God. Eckhart Tolle is contributing a great deal to the planet with his book ‘The Power of Now’. I read Sai Baba’s teachings about love and feel very connected when I do. I recommend Paramahansa’ Yogananda’s Scientific Healing Affirmations for deep healings. The words are full of ancient wisdom and carry a wonderful vibration for healing. It is a little book full of amazing knowledge about healing yourself. I also like Louise Hay and Diana Cooper. Doreen virtue’s books and cards inspired me greatly when I was creating my Psychic Weight Loss Oracle Cards for women. Cassandra Eason and Heidi Sawyer have been big influences on me for my book ‘You Can Be Psychic Too’
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given.
Don’t complain, find the weakness in you that have stopped you having the courage to change your situation. Heal the weakness and then make the changes necessary that will get you out of the problem. Be prepared to persevere with the changes until you are happier. Be open to the possibility that it may not pan out exactly the way that you want and if it doesn’t learn to accept that fact so that you can move on.
Would you name 6 “Desert Island” books or films (ones you would like if you were stranded on a desert island - for young ones who don’t know about Desert Island discs!)
